Connecting Value Across Borders

Indonesian commodities, crafts and companies, introduced to the partners who can take them abroad. Japan and China first, then the Middle East and Europe.

Jakarta, Indonesia

— About us

We help Indonesian companies make the introductions that matter, with decision-makers around the world.

Not a directory. Not a networking app. The intermediary who calls ahead, knows the context, and makes sure that when you walk into the room, you are already expected.

See what we do

We believe the most powerful currency in business is trust.

01

Curated relationships

We are judged on the depth of a few relationships, not the volume of many.

02

Credible ecosystems

Our access comes from the institutions that vouch for us, and we protect it by choosing carefully whom we introduce.

03

Cultural intelligence

International business is decided in the pauses. We brief both sides on what nobody writes into the agenda.

04

Human-centred diplomacy

Behind every mandate is a person carrying it. We work with the person first and the transaction second.

01

Rabia Al Adawia

Rabia leads VASTA's institutional relationships. She has convened the firm's Gateway sessions with embassy trade officials and Gulf industry principals, and brings a public-policy background to every mandate the firm accepts.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive[email protected]

02

Melissa Hamid

Founding chairwoman of the HIPMI Womenpreneur chapter and chief executive of a Jakarta recruitment firm she has run since 2009. Melissa is the reason VASTA delegations arrive prepared, briefed and on schedule.

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer[email protected]

03

Dhanti Mahardhika

Dhanti runs VASTA's Japan track and its partner ecosystem, with separate leadership roles at CAN Foundation and WomenIn Indonesia. She positions Indonesian companies so they read as credible before the first meeting starts.

— Services

Business matching, first-hand.

We are not brokers. We make each introduction ourselves, from a network we know personally, and we stay in the relationship after the first meeting.

Talk to us
01

Strategic business matching

We find the counterpart whose mandate matches yours, brief both sides, and make the introduction in person. Many consultants claim connections; we use ours.

02

Gateway programmes

Guided market entry, one market at a time, with in-country representatives and the Indonesian trade desks: Gateway to Japan, Pathways: China and Gateway to the Middle East.

03

Water treatment consulting

Consulting on seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) for coastal regencies, working with Bulukumba and Selayar in South Sulawesi.

Japanese partner: Waqua

How we work

01

Discovery

A confidential conversation about where you are trying to go and who actually needs to say yes.

02

Curation

We map counterparts against your mandate and rule out the ones that only look right on paper.

03

Introduction

We make the introduction ourselves, with context on both sides, so the meeting opens at the second question.

04

Cultivation

We stay in the relationship after the handshake, because the value is in the second year, not the first meeting.

— Before you ask

Questions worth asking

01What does VASTA do?

VASTA GROUP connects Indonesian value with markets abroad through three arms: Moona & Co for commodities, Kreia Studio for crafts and home goods, and business diplomacy services such as business matching and the Gateway programmes.

02Are you a broker?

No. We do first-hand business matching: we know the people we introduce, we brief both sides ourselves, and we stay in the relationship afterwards.

03Do you publish prices?

No. Commodity prices move with grade, volume and destination, so we quote each order. Ask us on WhatsApp or by email.

04Which markets do you work in?

Japan and China first, with active work in the Middle East. Europe, starting with France and Switzerland, is next.

05Do you work with companies outside Indonesia?

Most of our work takes Indonesian companies abroad. We take inbound mandates selectively and will tell you plainly if we are not the right firm.

06How do I reach you from China?

WhatsApp is not common in China, so use WeChat or email. Both reach the same team.
